Someone very important to me has passed away. I did not know her, she did not know me. We’ve never met, and never spoken to each other. We did, though, appreciate each other very much.. Her son is the love of my life, my boyfriend. She has been fighting breast cancer for about ten years. It had went away twice, and she had a mastectomy. After awhile, the doctors told her it had spread to her bones, and her lungs.. most recently her liver. She is a very strong woman, and I’m not a religious person but I don’t want to think of her as dead.  She went to lots of cancer awareness programs, even for the cancer she didn’t have.. like childhood cancer. Her name is Kathy. I will be respectful of her and her family in not telling her last name. She was very inspirational to me, she put up with pain and sacrificed everything just to watch her youngest son graduate. He graduates in May.. but the school held her a special graduation for her and my boyfriend’s family. She lived to her last goal. Her passing was painless, and peaceful. With all the years of fighting I believe she deserved it that way. I want to tell her story, and I want it to be shared.
